Moby is a wonderful Aussie/Fox terrier mix, we think. She came to us with several pups on a rescue flight a few months ago! This cutie is now about 10 months old and just ready to become a good dog in an active household. Moby has been with us since September 2023 and she would really like a home of her own. She is very bonded with the staff here due to her length of time with us so she is going to need some patience by her new owner to get her love transferred to them. Once that happens, she will be a loyal companion. She gets along well with other dogs and has had a variety of roommates while at the shelter. She is great playing outdoors in our play yard and has also been on leash walks. Moby also seems to love water so water sports might be right up her alley! This unfortunate boy was brought into us as a found dog in the county. He was healthy on intake but we had no-one step forward to claim him so now he is looking for a new forever home. He has not let his abandonment get to him and has adjusted to being at the shelter but we would very much like to find this nice boy a good home. He is a very friendly boy who became a favorite at our vets office when he was neutered and micro-chipped. He is a large dog at about 70 pounds who is possibly Greater Swiss mountain dog in him, possibly rottweiler, possibly Australian shepherd and who knows what else. His striking feature is his brilliant blue eyes! And his beautiful facial mask coloring. This boy wants to please and if you have room in your home and heart for a larger but super friendly guy, please consider him! Meet Sailor, a sweet and intelligent dog searching for his forever home! Truth be told, he is quite reserved around new people and situations, but will warm up, when given time to familiarize himself. Sailor enjoys engaging with toys, particularly those he can chew on. He’ll play fetch for a short time, and calls it quits after a few rounds, but his playful spirit remains strong. He is not a fan of collars, harnesses, or leashes, and will need more training with that. This handsome dog has plenty of energy to burn and would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle. He adores staying busy, whether it's through play, walks, or interactions with another dog companion. Sailor attempts to engage with cats, showcasing his friendly nature. Juni was saved from CA where she had been turned in with a Yorkie sibling. Another rescue picked up the Yorkie and left Juni behind. She was crushed to have lost her friend. Annie and her brother Harry need your help! They need a new home together because they are a bonded couple of basenji mix dogs who list their home when their owner passed away. The lived with her brother til they could come north from California or be killed in a "shelter" there. TRACS agreed to take them and find them a loving home here in our area. This beautiful Shepherd and Labrador girl is an sweety and is opening up to us more every day. She is mostly black but has a beautiful brown tone to her coat that almost makes it look 3 dimensional - quite unique! We were told Margo was the momma of 5 cute puppies that we also brought in but if they are, the pups are already almost bigger than she is! Margo was 47 pounds at the clinic when we weighed her for her spay surgery. She is likely about 2 years of age. She was saved off the streets from a reservation and is happy to have come to us from the local small pound up there. She is getting to know the leash while here but it is a bit foreign to her for sure. She has now been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. We have also had her checked for Brucellosis. Bosco is the last pup left from the 12 Aussie/German Shepherd puppies we received back in mid-November. Bosco has been what we call the shy one of the litter (there is always 1 in a litter). He will sniff fingers and will tolerate being picked up by the staff he knows. Bosco is a dog that will need a helper dog in his new home to make sure he settles into a home. He will likely flourish over time with being part of a pack, lots of love, consistent training. Bosco has been doing great on his training to potty outside when let out several times a day into the play yard but he will need training in his new home to make sure he continues to do well. Cupcake is a beautiful girl. She has a unique breed mix that is 100% her own - I couldn't even begin to guess what she may be but our system required us to choose! After finding herself on the short list at a CA shelter, this girl was pulled to rescue by some kind folks that wanted to see her find a loving family. She is friendly, immediately went on leash walks with us without issue and is just loving being in Montana! She has been doing great with her roommate and is learning quickly what a dog door is and how she can go back and forth from inside kennel to her outside kennel. Howard is another rescue from a short list at a CA shelter. And as a black dog, he is automatically one that gets overlooked but this kid has a nice personality! He has been immediately out for leash walks and did ok. He seemed very interested in our resident cats, so probably best into a home without cats. Kai:

Poor Kai came to us for re-homing as his owner had passed and the relatives took in their multiple dogs but couldn't keep all of them, there were quite a few!! Kai is a calm boy, somewhat reserved as he is confused as to being in a kennel vs. having a comfy couch or bed to lay upon in a home. He will be a wonderful companion to someone who is looking for a medium sized adult dog (Kai is about 5-5 1/2 years old) that walks nicely on leash. Kai looks to be cattle dog, the family thought he might have some Corgi, but whatever he is, he is 100% good boy. He is obviously good with other dogs, has been around cats without issue, and has been in a home with children. Kai was originally from TX and has been on heartworm preventative his whole life according to the paperwork we received. We will be getting Kai up to date on his vaccinations this week and he will be ready to go on 5/2. He is neutered and does have a microchip. His adoption fee is $100. Handsome Wyatt was a TRACS puppy back in 2022 and through no fault of his, is now back with us for rehoming. He was with a nice couple that wanted to keep him but their landlord wasn't having it, so we agreed to help them find a new great home for him. He is a loving dog, knows several commands and gets along well with other dogs. He also walks very nicely on leash and harness. He is however not terribly fond of cats and will chase given the opportunity. Therefore, we are looking for a home without cats or cats that don't mind a good chase (as long as they have safe spaces to go to!). Sprocket found himself in a CA municipal shelter for unknown reasons. We were able to pull him for transport to us and found this boy to be a friendly delightful dog! He is a bit unkempt but don't let that be a deterrent to taking a look at this cutie. He was listed as a Havanese mix by the intake facility and he does have a lot of the look of a Havanese. He has a longer nose than that of a Shih Tzu. Whatever his breed mix may be, this cutie is just that, a cutie! He is approximately 4 years old and seems to be good with cats, other dogs and will be ok with kids we think due to his good nature. Digby came into a CA shelter as a stray and he was a little shy and fearful (I would be too going into a noisy place with lots of strange sights and smells!). He then got loaded into a van and made a long trip up to Montana where he met more strange people and sights! Poor boy! With all of this change, Digby is settling in and is coming around. He does like to get scratches behind the ears when someone is near. He isn't very fond of being picked up but that is ok as he does well on leash walks to get where you need him to go! He didn't pay much attention to our resident cat when he came in. He is doing well with a roommate too. He is about 25 pounds, around 4 years old, and we think he is primarily Norwich Terrier. He is a bit on the slender side but we are giving him good quality food to help with that. Adoption fee is $350. Little Zena is a very unique looking dog. She has the spots and coloring of a red heeler but is most certainly not a heeler as she is only 13 pounds! Boone was a last minute addition to our transport from CA. We don't have much of a backstory other than this boy does appear to be full bred Miniature Pinscher. He is 21 pounds so he could use to slim down a few pounds but other than that, this boy is good with people, seems to be ok with our resident cats, and walks nicely on a leash. We work on photos as we have time but the profile pic gives you a pretty good sense of this cutie. He is up to date on vaccinations, has been neutered and is micro-chipped. Little Khloe is quite the character! She is a spunky little 11 pound shihtzu who loves everyone. She is around 6 years old we believe, but acts like 2 years! She came to us recently from a municipal over crowded shelter in California and she is very glad to be out of that state for sure. We believe she is spayed as she has a spay type of mark on her tummy. She is microchipped and fully vaccinated and redy to go home to a safe and long term home. Bud:

Bud is the cutest fuzzy German Shepherd we have seen for a while. This boy has quickly become one of the favorites of the staff in his building. For his age (about 5 months) he does very well on leash and has been doing well with an older female as his roommate. This pup is about 22 pounds right now so we estimate he will be a large adult at full growth. Little Valentino is only a little over 5 pounds! Such a tiny little guy! He is a nice dog and is only wearing a cone in the photo as he just had his neuter surgery recently! He was a little behind on nutrition so we are getting him caught up and he has gotten very excited for meal times! Did we mention that he loves treats too? Valentino will need to go to a quiet home where he has safe spaces to go so he doesn't wind up under foot since he is so tiny! Babette and several other dogs were found discarded under a bridge. Concerned citizens rescued them and brought them into the safety of a foster home. Unfortunately Babette has had a front leg fracture at some point in her life and it has healed offset so she doesn't use the leg much other than to stabilize herself. It also doesn't appear to hurt her. She is a nice girl, a bit shy at first but does like to snuggle once in your arms. She isn't much of a barker either. She could use a quiet home where she has a bed in a nice spot of sun when you are away but also will likely be right next to you in your chair watching the latest show! Bojangles was another unfortunate dog that was discarded under a bridge to fend for himself. Concerned citizens got these dogs to safety and they are now with us getting healthy and into loving homes. Bojangles is about 1 year old and is 15 pounds. He is shy and reserved (but not aggressive) at first which is expected but he is learning that people are not all bad and that life can be ok. He needs leash training work and we are getting him used to wearing a harness and introducing him to leashes. He will need a fenced yard until he is fully trained on leash. Maddy is just the cutest mini-Aussie. We don't see this type of breed in our shelter often so we have been enjoying getting to know her. She is still young (about 8 months) and just loves being out in the yard running around then she comes back to you for loving! We have her in a room with several other younger puppies and she has been doing well with them, playing with them and toys too. She will need some training on leash and housetraining but her breed is smart so this should be a fairly easy task! Hotrod is a delightful transfer up to us from TX. He was a little concerned about what was happening with all the van rides to get here but he is opening up wonderfully now that he doesn't have to ride in a van any more! He gets along well with his roommate and has been out on harnessed leash walks. He has a tail wag for you every time you walk into a room. He will blossom in a quiet home where he has a nice human to snuggle with and perhaps watch some TV. Then a nice walk around the neighborhood to cap off the evening! While he may not have Flash's stamina, Fritz still enjoys a good play session in the evenings, though he's quick to tire out.
He’s a bit reluctant to go for car rides due to motion sickness, Fritz is a sweetheart with everyone he meets, including kids and cats. While he and Flash would love to play with the cats, they understand boundaries and respect the word "no." Both brothers play well with other dogs at doggy daycare.
